Founded in 1976, Jason Marine started off as a sole-proprietorship providing repair services for marine electronics equipment on board vessels. Since then, the Company has transformed into a leading provider of integrated solutions of communication, navigation and automation systems for the marine and offshore oil & gas industries.
Our business activities can be broadly classified as follows:
We design, supply, integrate, install and commission a comprehensive range of radio and satellite communication, navigation and marine automation systems to our customers.
The projects that we undertake are varied, ranging from the supply and installation of a simple VHF radio device to the design, supply, integration, installation, testing and commissioning of a complete integrated bridge system.
For each project, we customise our solutions to serve the needs and stringent requests of our customers. Our project team leader and sales manager will work closely with our customers to discuss and conceptualise system designs. In the process, we provide our customers with technical solutions and recommend the most appropriate electronics components to be installed into the systems so as to achieve cost savings and optimal performance.
As we represent several internationally renowned manufacturers for marine communication, navigation and automation products including Raytheon Anschütz, Thrane & Thrane, Seatel, Navico, Jotron, Federal Signal, Samyung and Koden, we offer our customers a wide range of equipment to cater for their operational requirements and budget.
We provide our customers with a wide range of services from operational and maintenance, to upgrading and repair services. Technical competence is of utmost importance in the marine electronics industry. As testament of our competence, we have been appointed the regional Certified Service Centres by our major principals like Thrane & Thrane, Raytheon Anchütz, Samyung Electronics, Skipper and ACR Electronics.
We also provide statutory radio survey and annual performance test of voyage data recorders services to our customers. We have accredited inspectors to inspect our customers' communication systems and voyage data recorders to determine if they comply with the relevant standards.
We are authorised to conduct marine radio survey for the following classification societies and authorities:
In line with our provision of comprehensive solutions for marine satellite communication needs, we also offer our customers airtime services. Our airtime services relate to the provision of bandwidth (“airtime”) for the satellite communication systems distributed by us and other distributors, such as the Inmarsat, Iridium and VSAT products. These equipment enable telephone, fax and data communications across the globe. By connecting to a satellite communication system, end-users can dial into the international telephone network and send data over the Internet at any time. Our airtime services also include the provision of high quality direct-dial voice (broadcast quality), fax, data, telex, e-mail, high-speed data connections to ISDN networks.
We have entered into arrangements with SingTel, Vizada S.A. and Stratos Wireless, Inc. to purchase airtime from these airtime providers as and when requested by our customers.
